Can’t decide? Our staff will guide you to the right choice for a smooth and fun adventure.

Single Kayak Rentals

Our top recommendation for most paddlers. Single kayaks are lightweight, fast, and easy to handle — especially on the Hudson where currents can be strong. Whether you’re solo or in a group, singles give you the smoothest, most enjoyable ride and the freedom to paddle at your own pace. Max 275 lbs

Your Hudson River Escape — 2 hours for just $49 per person, all gear included.

Double Kayak Rentals

Best suited for families with a child who can’t paddle on their own. Double kayaks are heavier and require teamwork to coordinate strokes, which can be tricky in river currents. We recommend doubles mainly when you need an extra seat for younger riders. Max 500 lbs

Your Hudson River Escape — 2 hours for just $49 per person, all gear included.

Stand-Up Paddle (SUP) Rentals

For adventurous paddlers looking for a challenge, SUPs offer a whole new perspective. They’re fun, a great workout, and give you a unique view of the river — but they do require balance and focus. Perfect for those wanting something different than kayaking. Max 250 lbs

Your Hudson River Escape — 2 hours for just $49 per person, all gear included.

Canoe Rentals

Spacious and sturdy, canoes are a great choice for families or groups who want to paddle together and enjoy a relaxed ride. With room for extra gear or passengers, canoes are perfect for a slower, social way to experience the Hudson. Max 600 lbs

What Should I wear?

Quick-Dry Clothing: Wear synthetic fabrics (polyester, nylon, spandex). Avoid cotton — it stays wet and makes you cold.

Layers: Light base layer + windbreaker or waterproof jacket if it’s breezy. On cooler days, add a fleece under the jacket.

Footwear: Water shoes, sandals with straps (like Tevas), or old sneakers you don’t mind getting wet. Avoid flip-flops — they slip.

Hat & Sunglasses: Protects against glare and sun. Use a strap so they don’t fall in the water.

Sunscreen: Even on cloudy days, the reflection from the water can burn.

Optional: A dry bag or ziplock for phone/keys, and a change of clothes in the car just in case.
